Camp Snoopy
1999
In 1999, Cedar Point added Camp Snoopy to the park. At the time, the area was located behind and around Gemini Children's Area. The area originally included the rides Balloon Race, Camp Bus, Lolli Swing, Peanuts 500, Red Barron, Snoopy Bounce, Tilt-a-Whirl, and Woodstock Express! The area was really successful. It was so successful that a second area, Planet Snoopy, was added in 2008!
The success continued. For 2014, the area received Wilderness Run and Woodstock's Airmail! Lolli Swing was also re-themed as Charlie Brown's Wind Up. This area is really fun and is one of 5 Camp Snoopy's in the world!

2014 as Wilderness Run Rethemed: 2014 Manufacturer:Intamin AG Location: Camp Snoopy Type: children's coaster In 2014 Jr. Gemini's entrance was relocated into Camp Snoopy to make room for Pipe Scream. The ride was renamed and rethemed, Wilderness Run. Wilderness Run is Cedar Point's smallest roller coaster. Wilderness Run takes riders up 19 feet where they reach speeds of 6 MPH. Wilderness Run is a great first roller coaster for kids. |

Woodstock ExpressOpened: 1999
Manufacturer: Vekoma Location: Camp Snoopy Type: junior coaster Woodstock Express opened in 1999 in the Camp Snoopy section of Cedar Point. It would be only the second kids coaster Cedar Point has in operation. Woodstock Express takes riders up 38 feet. Riders reach speeds of 25 MPH as the ride completes its journey. Woodstock Express is a really fun ride! |
