The depression would be a very bad time for Cedar Point. Bookings for its hotel rooms were really down. The Cedars Hotel would close in 1930. The resort would occasionally have big events when it would open The Cedars Hotel for groups if it was needed. During this time, the hotel would start to house employees when it was closed to guests.

Siren's Curse would be built on the land that was once home to The Cedars Hotel and WildCat. The area would be reimagined to take guests on an adventure that the park had not previously offered.

Testing on the ride began in late May 2025. Park guests would get to see the ride test because the park was open. Siren's Curse was the first roller coaster built at Cedar Point since Maverick that did not open on opening day.

Siren's Curse opened on June 28, 2025. The ride was a complete success. Guests loved riding Siren's Curse. The ride will continue to live in the park's lineup for decades to come.
