Coasters Drive-In
1999-2021

Coasters Drive-In opened at Cedar Point on Sunday, May 9, 1999.

Coasters Drive-In replaced Paddlewheel Cafe. Paddlewheel Cafe opened in 1970. The food location was originally next to Western Cruise. The ride moved to the Gemini Midway in 1987. After 1986 the food location seemed out of place. It closed in 1998 and was demolished. 

Coasters Drive-In was located in front of Iron Dragon's pond on the left side of the Corkscrew roller coaster. 

There were some old cars that were parked outside of Coasters Drive-In creating a themed experience for the park.  Depending on the time of year, you could find different cars on display!

In the restaurant, there were some pretty cool pictures of current and past roller coasters that the park had.

Coasters Drive-In was a quick-service restaurant. Guests would get their food really quick.

Coasters Drive-In served burgers, chicken sandwiches, and chicken tenders. Its sides included french fries and onion rings. 

Coasters Drive-In also had really good milkshakes!

Coasters Drive-In had a very small dining room. 

The dining room featured air conditioning. It was very nice to get to cool down while you eat.

It could be very hard to get a table inside of Coasters Drive-In. 

Coasters Drive-In also featured a food patio that guests could use outside the restaurant. 

From the food patio guests could get an amazing view of the exciting midway. 

Coasters Drive-In was very popular when it first opened. Over the years it had become a park favorite. As time went on the quality of Coasters Drive-In really dropped. By 2020 it was clear that Coasters Drive-In needed a refresh. 

Coasters Drive-In closed on Sunday, October 31, 2021.

Coasters Drive In was replaced in 2022 with Coasters Diner. The restaurant was renovated, modernized, and received a new menu. It was a great improvement!
