Kid Arthur's Court
1982 - 1999
The 1970's and 1980's was an expansion period for Cedar Point. In 1975 Cedar Point added the Cedar Point Cinema that featured IMAX movies. Corkscrew became the first roller coaster to turn riders upside down 3 times when it opened in 1976. In 1977 the Corkscrew midway was expanded to feature Witches' Wheel. In 1978, Gemini became the world's tallest and fastest roller coaster. In 1979 Cedar Point expanded again and added more rides to round out its collection. In 1980 Cedar Point added Oceanea. Ocean Motion opened in 1981.
Kid Arthur's Court was a kids play area that was located across from Kiddy Kingdom.
Kid Arthur's Court featured climbing nets, a ball pit area, slides and other fun things for kids to enjoy together. Kid Arthur's Court was for guest under 54 inches so it was designed to entertain little kids.

Kid Arthur's Court was a great attraction at Cedar Point.
After Kid Arthur's Court opened Cedar Point switched its focus back to adding roller coasters and big thrill rides including: Demon Drop (1983-2009), Avalanche Run (1985-1989), Thunder Canyon (1986), Iron Dragon (1987), Soak City Water Park (1988-2016), Magnum XL-200 (1989), Disaster Transport (1990-2012), Mean Streak (1991 - 2016), Challenge Park (1992-2016), Snake River Falls (1993), Raptor (1994), Mantis (1996-2014), Power Tower (1998), and Camp Snoopy (1999).

Shortly after the park closed for the 1999 season, the Kid Arthur's Court location was prepared for the relocation of Giant Wheel.

Giant Wheel was Cedar Point's Ferris Wheel that was located near the train station for the Cedar Point and Lake Erie Railroad. The ride was built in 1972. Giant Wheel one of Cedar Point's largest family rides so naturally, the park wanted to keep it around longer. Giant Wheel would need to be relocated to the beachfront to make room for Millennium Force.
