Kiddieland Carousel opened at Cedar Point in 1968. The carousel was originally built in 1921 by W.H. Dentzel.

Locations of the Carousel

When the carousel opened in 1968, it was located on the outer edge of Kiddieland in a temporary structure. Its original location is now where Dodgem currently stands.
|
|
|
In 1970, Cedar Point expanded Kiddieland for its 100th anniversary. As part of the renovation, the carousel was moved to the center of the kids’ area and placed in a permanent building.
|
|
|
Kiddieland Carousel has continued to entertain Cedar Point guests for many decades.
|
|
|
In 1988, the United States Postal Service issued a series of stamps featuring carousel horses. One of the horses from the Kiddy Kingdom Carousel was included in the set.
|
|
|
In 1993, Kiddieland was upgraded and rethemed as Kiddy Kingdom. To match the new theme, Kiddieland Carousel was renamed Kiddy Kingdom Carousel.
