Satellite Jets
1961-1986
Satellite Jets was a family-friendly spinning ride. Riders sat in small jet-shaped vehicles that rotated in a clockwise circle. As the ride spun, each rider could control how high their jet would rise.

In 1966, Satellite Jets was relocated to the front of the park, where it operated until the end of the 1969 season. Today, Point Plaza occupies this location.

In 1970, Satellite Jets was relocated to the Blue Streak Midway, positioned between Blue Streak and the Turnpike Cars.
The ride continued to be a fun experience for the whole family to enjoy together. |
Satellite Jets closed at the end of the 1986 season and was most likely scrapped. The ride’s location remained empty through the end of the 1993 season.
In 1994, Calypso was relocated to make room for Raptor. The ride was placed on the former site of Satellite Jets and remained there until the end of the 2014 season.

In 2015, Calypso was relocated to the Beach Midway near the Giant Wheel to make room for the construction of Valravn.

In 2016, Valravn Gifts opened on the former site of Satellite Jets. Serving as the gift shop for Valravn, it remains in operation to this day.
