Siren's Curse

In 2017 Cedar Point rebranded its water park as Cedar Point Shores. It was expanded to include new attractions for the entire family. Steel Vengeance opened in 2018 as the tallest, fastest, and longest hybrid roller coaster in the world. In 2019 Cedar Point opened Forbidden Frontier on Adventure Island, a build your own adventure area. Cedar Point intended to celebrate its 150th anniversary in 2020, but that was delayed until 2021 due to the global Covid-19 pandemic. Cedar Point would spend some time upgrading its food offerings from 2019-2023 with the introduction of several restaurants. The Boardwalk opened in 2023 featuring Wild Mouse and the Grand Pavillion. In 2024 Cedar Point opened the tallest and fastest triple launch coaster when Top Thrill 2 made its brief debut. With all these new recent auditions guests expected Cedar Point to take a break for 2025, but in true Cedar Point fashion, guests would be surprised with another new addition.
The story of Cedar Point is a story of evolution. There is only one thing that is constant at Cedar Point, and that is change. 
In 1899 Cedar Point built its first hotel, The Bay shore Hotel. Over the yeats it had been expanded and changed a few times. In 1915 it was remodeled and renamed The Cedars Hotel. 
Cedars was Cedar Point's quitet and secluded hotel. It was located on the Bay side of Cedar Point's property not too far form the lagoons. 
In the 1930's the country was in the Great Depression. The depression was a very hard time for the country. People just wre not visiting resourts due to the lack of money. Attenedance at Cedar Point would rapildly decline

During the depression Cedar Point decided they did not need two hotels anymore. In 1930 the hotel sat empty. It would reopen in 1931 when the resort was busy. In 1932 Cedars was turned into associated housing. It would occasinaly still be used by guests when the resort was built as late as 1941.
In 1985 WildCat was moved the area area that was formaly home to the Million Dollar Midway to make room for Avalanche Run. 
The area that Wildcat was placed in when between the midway and Cedars. 
WildCat was a small compact family roller coaster that was built by Schwarzkopf. 
On May 2, 2012, Cedar Point announced that WildCat would be removed to make room for an expanded Celebration Plaza. WildCat would be the first Cedar Point roller coaster to be removed since 1978. The ride would be completely gone by opening day.
The WildCat site over the years was used for bleachers. For several years the area would be home to food trucks for Halloweekends. 
In January 2019 Cedar Point removed the dorms that were once The Cedar Hotel. 
On Friday, September 13, 2024 Cedar Point dropped a teaser video that that they would be making their 2025 announcement  on September 19, 2024. The rumors ran wild from water slides to water rides. Cedar Point had an entirely different idea up their sleeves that would shock park fans.
On September 19, 2024 Cedar Point announced it was building Siren's Curse for the 2024 season. Siren's Curse is going to be a Vekoma tilt coaster. 

​The opening day was announcee as Summer 2025.
Siren's Curse is going to be Cedar Point's 19th roller coaster when it opens in Summer 2025.
Siren's Curse is going to be bilt in the ar4ea that was once home to WildCat and The Cedar Hotel.
In September 2024 Cedar Point began to prep the constrctuion site so they could start building their new roller coaster. 
Cedar Point closed for the 2024 season on Saturday, November 2, 2024. Track began to arrive at the park the next day. 
During November and December, the construction crew worked on digging the rides' foundations as well as pouring footers. 

The ride was built by Adena Corporation. 
In late December, construction crews began putting the tower up that would hold the tilt element.

The tower would continue to go up as December went on.  
The first piece of track for Siren's Curse was installed on January 30, 2025.
The tilt section was installed on February 4, 2025. The tilt section is the piece of track that tilts riders 90 degrees and contacts them to the drop section from the lift hill. 

The tilt track weights 45 tons and is 61 feet long. 
Construction continued on the rest of the ride after the tower section of the track was completed. 
By  March 2025  construction was in full swing for Siren's Curse! They had track going everywhere! 

The construction crew worked on installing the lift hill for the ride in March. 
By the middle of April, Adena Corporation had completed about 80 percent of the ride structure.
