Frog Hopper was an S&S Frog Hopper located in Cedar Point’s Gemini Children’s Area.

Frog Hopper opened on Saturday, May 8, 1998. It was the first kids’ ride added to Cedar Point since Bumper Boats debuted in 1993.
|
|
Frog Hopper was located in Gemini Children’s Area, positioned in front of the Gemini roller coaster and to the left of Bumper Boats.

Frog Hopper was an exciting ride for kids and the tallest children’s attraction in the park when it opened. It quickly became a favorite among young guests.

Frog Hopper was a very popular ride at Cedar Point. By the early 2010s, it was clear the attraction was starting to show its age and would need a refresh for the future.
|
|
|
|
|
On August 27, 2023, Cedar Point announced plans to redo the Gemini Midway for the 2014 season, which included relocating Frog Hopper. The ride was moved to Camp Snoopy, where it was renamed and rethemed as Woodstock’s Airmail.
|
|
|
Frog Hopper closed on Sunday, October 27, 2013, after entertaining Cedar Point guests for 15 years. The ride was set to receive the refresh it needed.

Woodstock’s Airmail is a themed Frog Hopper ride located in Camp Snoopy at Cedar Point.

When Frog Hopper was relocated, the ride was completely reimagined, featuring an entirely new look and feel. It fit seamlessly into the Camp Snoopy area.

Woodstock’s Airmail officially opened on Saturday, May 10, 2014.

Woodstock’s Airmail is located in Camp Snoopy, positioned between Linus’ Beetle Bugs and Charlie Brown’s Wind-Up.

Woodstock’s Airmail is a very exciting ride—more thrilling than the attractions in Kiddy Kingdom, yet not as intense as rides like Atomic Scrambler, Lake Erie Eagles, Wave Swinger, or Calypso.

Ride Expereinece

The Woodstock’s Airmail ride experience begins as guests wait in line. The queue is located directly to the right of the ride.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Riders may sometimes have to wait a cycle or two for their turn, as Woodstock’s Airmail is the lowest-capacity ride in Camp Snoopy.
|
|
|
Six riders board the car at a time. Each rider has an individual seatbelt, while all share a single lap bar for added safety.
|
|
|
|
|
|
The ride begins by slowly lifting riders to the top of the tower.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Once the car reaches the top, it pulses for a few seconds, giving riders a fantastic view of Camp Snoopy.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Riders are then gently bounced down the tower. The small drops make kids laugh and giggle, as the ride’s motion is very smooth and gentle.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Just before reaching the bottom, the car is slowly lifted back to the top again.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Riders are gently bounced up and down the tower.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Riders are lifted back to the top of the tower one final time.

Riders are gently bounced down the tower until they reach the loading platform.

Once the ride reaches the bottom, riders are unloaded and exit the attraction.
