Bumper Boats was a small kids boat ride that was located at Cedar Point.

In 1993 Kiddieland was expanded and rethemed to become Kiddy Kingdom. The area was given a medieval theme.

The area received one new ride called Sir Bumpalot's Boats.The ride was in an above-ground pool.
|
|
|
The ride was located between Krazy Kars and Schwabinchen.
The ride would remain in Kiddy Kingdom until the end of the 1997 season. |

The ride left Kiddy Kingdom at the end of 1997 and the location would not be reused.

In 1998 Cedar Point opened Power Tower. Power Tower is a 300-foot tall drop tower. Frog Hopper was added to Gemini Children's Area to give the kids something new.

Sir Bumpalot's Boats was relocated to Gemini Children's Area. The ride received a new pool.
|
|
|
The ride was located in Gemini Children's Area next to Frog Hopper.
|
|
|
|
|

Bumper Boats was a small kids rides. Riders would float around the pool hitting other boats.

After opening Bumper Boats in 1993 Cedar Point would open: Raptor (1994), Cedar Point's 125th Anniversary Celebration (1995), Mantis (1996-2014), Chaos (1997-2010), Power Tower (1998), Camp Snoopy(1999), Millennium Force(2000), Wicked Twister (2002-2021), Top Thrill Dragster (2003-2021), maXair (2005), Skyhawk (2006), Maverick (2007), Planet Snoopy (2008), Shoot the Rapids (2010-2015), WindSeeker (2011), Dinosaurs Alive (2012-2018), and GateKeeper (2013). All these rides would balance out Cedar Point's collection of rides.

Bumper Boats had a lot of charm. It was a really fun ride for kids.

Over the years the popularity of Bumper Boats wold rapidly decline. By 2010 the ride seamed to be dated.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
On August 27, 2023, Cedar Point announced it was redoing the Gemini Midway for the 2013 season. This would include the removal of Bumper Boats.

|
|
|
|
|
|
Bumper Boats would close on Sunday, October 27, 2013 after 20 years of operations. The ride was scrapped.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Bumper Boats was replaced with Lake Erie Eagles in 2014.
|
|
|
|
|
