Bumper Boats

Bumper Boats was a small water-based ride designed for kids, located at Cedar Point.

In 1993, Kiddieland was expanded and rethemed as Kiddy Kingdom, featuring a medieval theme.

The area added a new ride called Sir Bumpalot’s Boats, which operated in an above-ground pool.

The ride was situated between Krazy Kars and Schwabinchen and remained in Kiddy Kingdom until the end of the 1997 season.

The ride was removed from Kiddy Kingdom at the end of 1997, and the location was not reused.

In 1998, Cedar Point opened Power Tower, a 300-foot-tall drop tower. Frog Hopper was added to Gemini Children’s Area to give kids a brand-new attraction to enjoy.

Sir Bumpalot’s Boats was relocated to Gemini Children’s Area and received a new pool.

The ride was located in Gemini Children’s Area, next to Frog Hopper.
Fun Fact: Bumper Boats did not appear on the Souvenir Map in 1998 or 1999.

Bumper Boats was a small kids’ ride where riders floated around the pool, bumping into other boats.

Raptor (1994), Cedar Point's 125th Anniversary Celebration (1995), Mantis (1996-2014), Chaos (1997-2010), Power Tower (1998), Camp Snoopy(1999), Millennium Force(2000), Wicked Twister (2002-2021), Top Thrill Dragster (2003-2021), maXair (2005), Skyhawk (2006), Maverick (2007), Planet Snoopy (2008), Shoot the Rapids (2010-2015), WindSeeker (2011), Dinosaurs Alive (2012-2018), and GateKeeper (2013). These rides helped balance out Cedar Point’s overall collection of attractions.
