Rock, Spin & Turn is a children’s ride located in Kiddy Kingdom at Cedar Point.

In 1970, Cedar Point expanded Kiddieland as part of its projects celebrating the park’s 100th anniversary. Rock, Spin & Turn was added during this expansion.

Rock, Spin & Turn opened on Saturday, May 23, 1970.

Rock, Spin & Turn was located in Kiddieland, near the left side of the Coliseum.

Rock, Spin & Turn was a favorite among kids. Its unique design made it a really fun and exciting ride.

In 1979, Rock, Spin & Turn and Space Age were moved to the new kids’ area on the Gemini Midway. The rides were added to complement the new Jr. Gemini roller coaster. The Gemini Children’s Area was a wonderful addition to Cedar Point.

Moving Rock, Spin & Turn to the back of the park gave children in that area another ride to enjoy. Before the 1979 season, there were no kids’ rides in the back of the park.

The Gemini Children’s Area was located directly across from the Gemini roller coaster.

Rock, Spin & Turn entertained guests in the Gemini Children’s Area until the end of the 2013 season.

In 2014, Rock, Spin & Turn was relocated back to Kiddy Kingdom, roughly in the same spot it occupied when it first opened in 1970.

Rock, Spin & Turn is located between the Kiddy Kingdom Carousel and the Police Cars rides.

When Cedar Point moved Rock, Spin & Turn back to Kiddy Kingdom, it was a testament to the park’s commitment to providing rides and experiences for every member of the family.

Rock, Spin & Turn was built by Hampton, a company known for creating high-quality children’s rides.

Hampton built many rides for Cedar Point. In 1970, Hampton and the park collaborated to expand Kiddieland, introducing what was then the most advanced technology in children’s rides.

Rock, Spin & Turn is a fantastic ride for kids!

Ride Experience

The entrance to Rock, Spin & Turn is on the side closest to 4x4’s. The ride does not have an official queue area.

Riders usually don’t wait long for Rock, Spin & Turn, often getting on the very next cycle. It’s rare for guests to wait more than one ride cycle.

Riders are seated in one of six cars, with each car accommodating six guests. A seatbelt keeps each rider securely in place.

Rock, Spin & Turn moves in a clockwise direction, spinning as it travels around the ride.

Each car has a spinning wheel in the center, allowing riders to spin it and make their car rotate even faster.

The ride features a wavy track, with cars traveling up and down over small hills.

Riders laugh and giggle as they enjoy the fun of Rock, Spin & Turn.

Kids love Rock, Spin & Turn, a ride that’s full of fun and excitement.

Rock, Spin & Turn is about a two-minute ride. Because of the spinning, each ride offers a unique experience.

Once the ride comes to a complete stop, operators assist riders in exiting the cars. Guests then return to Kiddy Kingdom.

Rock, Spin & Turn has been delighting Cedar Point’s youngest riders for decades, entertaining multiple generations of children.

Rock, Spin & Turn is a gentle ride, perfect for younger children. While little ones can ride on their own, it’s best if they ride alongside kids around age five. Some of the steering wheels may be a bit harder for the smallest riders to turn.

Over the years, Cedar Point has become famous for its massive rides like Millennium Force, Magnum XL-200, maXair, Power Tower, and many more. While those rides are geared toward adults, Rock, Spin & Turn delivers exciting and fun experiences perfectly suited for kids.
