Kite Eating Tree is a themed Zamperla jumpin' star that is located in Planet Snoopy at Cedar Point.

In 2000 Tweety's Club House opened at Six Flags Ohio. In 2004 the park was sold to Cedar Fair L.P. and renamed Geauga Lake.
The area was rethemed to Kidworks because the park was no longer a Six Flags Park. Tweety's Club House was given a generic theme and renamed Tree Hopper. Geauga Lake closed at the end of the 2007 season. |

In January 2008 Cedar Point announced Planet Snoopy for the 2008 season. The area would include 7 rides, meet and greet opportunities, and games. The 7 rides were: a Mini-Tea Cup-Style ride (Woodstock's Whirlybirds), Miniature Train (Snoopy's Express Railroad), 4 x 4 Trucks (Peanuts Road Rally), A Bouncing Tower (Kite Eating Tree), Spinning Balloons (Flying Ace Balloon Race), Rocket Ships (Snoopy's Space Race), and A Crazy Sub Ride (Snoopy's Deep Sea Divers).

Kite Eating Tree is a great ride the entire family can ride together. It gives the family great views of Planet Snoopy.

Kite Eating Tree was manufactured by Zamporla of Italy. Zamporla is known for making quality family rides. Snoopy's Deep Sea Divers is a Zamperla mini drop tower.

Kite Eating Tree is a themed jumping' star ride.

The ride vehicle is themed as a kite.

The tower is themed as a giant tree that is trying to eat Snoopy's kite.

The ride doesn't have theming like the Disney and Universal parks, but it adds a nice touch to the ride.

Ride Experience
|

|
|
|
The ride experience for Kite Eating Tree beings with riders getting in line. The line for Kite Eating Tree is located directory to the right of the ride.
|
|
|
|
|
|
Riders sometimes have to wait a cycle or two to ride the ride. Kite Eating Tree is one of the lowest capacity ride in Planet Snoopy.
|
|
|
|
|
|
Kite Eating Tree has some comics that are built into the line for the ride. Reading the comics helps pass time will riders wait in line.
|
|
|
|
|
6 riders are loaded into the car at a time. The car has individual seatbelts and all riders share the same lap bar.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
The ride beings by slowly lifting riders to the top of the tower.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Once the kite reaches the top it pulses for a few seconds. It gives riders a great view of Planet Snoopy.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Riders are then slowly bounced down the tower. The small drops causes the kids to laugh and giggle.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Just before the kite reaches the bottom the riders are slowly lifted back to the top again.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Riders are slowly bounced back up and down the tower. The bouncing on this ride is very gentle.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Rides are lifted back up to the top of the tower for the final time.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Riders are slowly bounced down the tower until they reach the loading platform.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Once the ride reaches the bottom they are unloaded so they can exit the ride.

A Family Favorite
|

Kite Eating Tree is a great ride for kids. It gives them something else to experience by themselves.

Kite Eating Tree is a great stepping stone ride. It is in between the Kiddy Kingdomrides and the Matterhorn and Atomic Scrambler style experiences.

|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Kite Eating Tree was a really good addition to Cedar Point. It helped round out the park's collection of rides.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Riders must be between 36 inches tall and 54 inches tall to ride Kite Eating Tree.
