In 1995, Renegade River was added to Soak City Water Park!

Renegade River became very popular attraction that gave a unique experience. Guest were given another attraction that they could ride with the entire family!

Renegade River was located on the left slide of Magnum.

A New Era Begins

For the 2017 season, Soak City Water Park was renamed, re-themed as Cedar Point Shores Water Park. As a result, Renegade River was renamed Runaway Rapids.

Runaway Rapids is an exciting adventures not so lazy river ride.

Riders float around on tubes thru the adventures river. While you float, you go under stuff that is sure to soak you!

Runaway Rapids is a long ride. It takes 10-15 min. to go thru the water.

Runaway Rapids is a great family attraction. It gives a very unique experience. Guest can get really cool views that can only be experienced at Cedar Point Shores Water Park.

Riders under 48 inches must wear a life jacket.
