Rip Cord
1996 - 2016
Riders on Rip Cord are raised 152 feet in the air! After dangling for around a minute or so, riders are told, " your flight line is clear, 3, 2, 1 Fly!" Riders are suddenly dropped into a free fall and then start swinging! Riders swing back and forth many times being cought at the bottom. Riders reached speeds of 65 MPH!
In 2017 the ride was relocated to the former spot of Shoot the Rapids on the Frontier Trail.
The ride was also renamed and re themed to Professor Delbert's Frontier Fling. Delbert was the man from Paddlewheel Excursions that was obsessed with finding some way to fly, well, after his first appearance in 1960. he finally found a way to fly, after 57 years! |
