Raft Slides opened in 1990 as part of a huge addition to Soak City.
Raft Slides were a hit for the park from the day it opened. In 2012, the ride was painted from its original all tan colors to purple, yellow and green.
In 2017, Soak City was re-themed as Cedar Point shores water park. As a result, Raft Slides was renamed Crosscurrent.
Crosscurrent is the water parks third oldest waterside. Crosscurrent was built and designed by White Water West. White Water West builds and designs most of Cedar Fairs watersides.
The Crosscurrent experience begins when guest have to carry their inter-tube up flights of stairs.
Crosscurrent consist of 3 tube slides that have various heights. Riders can choose witch slide they want to ride.
Crosscurrent features several downward helxies and a few drops.
Crosscurrent is a great water slide that has been thrilling riders for over 27 years! Riders must be 48 inches tall and less then 300 pounds to ride.
