In 1979 the former site of Wildcat was not used. Matterhorn and Super Himalaya were relocated near the site as temporary placeholders.
Also in 1979, Cedar Point opened a new Wildcat ride named WildCat. The ride was located further up the beach where Jumbo Jet once stood. It was relocated in 1985 to make room for another roller coaster. It closed in 2011 and was removed from the park. |
In 2023 Matterhorn, and Scrambler was relocated to the site that was once home to Wildcat. Scrambler was renamed Atomic Scrambler. Both rides were refreshed to entertain guests.
The site would also be home to Wild Mouse. Wild Mouse would have a lot of similarities to Wildcat. Wild Mouse is going to continue Wildcat's legacy for a long time. |
