The Boardwalk
2023
History
The area that houses what is today "The Boardwalk" is actually the area that would be first developed. The first guest were welcomed to Cedar Point in 1870. They would swim in the lake on the beautiful Cedar Point Beach. Over the years a resort would develop, then the Amusement Circle would open.
The Amusement Circle ran in a semi circle from the bay landing to just east of the bath house. Most of the area that houses The Boardwalk was part of the original Amusement Circle. Over the years the midway would be expanded to what it is today. |
