Trabant

Trabant is a family ride that opened at Cedar Point on the Main Midway in 1966. Riders sit along the outer edge of a flattened cone.

Trabant was located next to Scrambler. It was across from Sky Ride.

Trabant was a family ride that was very popular. The ride was a traveling model that was located on a trailer. 

In 1970, Cedar Point opened a similar ride called Schwabinchen, which featured additional theming. That ride closed in 2002.

After 24 years of operation, Trabant closed at the end of the 1990 season and was subsequently removed from Cedar Point.

Trabant was replaced with a food patio, which still occupies the former ride’s location today.
