Tube Slides opened in Soak City in 1988. When the Park first opened it only had a few rides. Tube Slides was one of the parks major attractions.
Tube Slides was a very popular attraction at Soak City.
When Tube Slides first opened they were all white. In 2012, they were painted their new colors.
A New Era
In 2017, Soak City was renamed and re-themed to Cedar Point Shores Water Park. As a result, Tube slides were renamed Wild Walleye.
The stairs on Wild Walleye were rebuilt to make the attraction look better and last longer.
Wild Walleye also got a new its entrance plaza re-done so guest would know what they were getting in line for.
Wild Walleye was built by White Water West of Canada. White Water West has built all of the watersides for Cedar Point Shores Waterpark as well as most of the Cedar Fair Parks.
Ride Experience
Riders that want to ride Wild Walleye begin their adventure by climbing the stairs to the top of the slide. While climbing the slide riders get an amazing view of the amusement park, water park and mile long beach.
The views from the top of this slide are breath taking. riders get views they will won't soon forget.
Once you get to the top you get to pick one of two slides that you will ride in. Each slide offers a similar experience.
Wild Walleye features helixes and small drops to get it's riders from the top of the tower to the bottom of the splash pool.
Wild Walleye has a decent amount of speed as the slide goes thru the twists and turns.
Wild Walleye ends with its guest landing in a splash pool of water.
