Skyhawk
2006
Skyhawk opened in 2006 in Frontiertown at Cedar Point. When Skyhawk opened in 2006, it was the tallest and fastest ride of its type in the world!
In the mid 1990's Cedar Point was in the middle of a race on who could build the world's tallest and fastest roller coasters. In 1996 this would continue with the Stand Up Mantis roller coaster. Chaos and Swan Boats were added in 1997. Power Tower became the tallest and fastest drop ride in the world when it opened in 1998. In 1999 Cedar Point opened Camp Snoopy. In 2000, riders would brave Millennium Force, the world's First Giga Coaster. In 2002 Wicked Twister opened as the tallest and fastest Impulse Coaster in the world. Top Thrill Dragster became the first roller coaster in the world to take riders over 400 feet when it opened in 2003. In 2005 maXair would spin its riders 140 feet in the air!
On October 31, 2005, Cedar Point announced it would build Skyhawk. Skyhawk would join Cedar Point's line-up of thrill rides that included: Cedar Downs, Demon Drop, maXair, Power Tower, Wave Swinger and Witches' Wheel. Skyhawk would be a very unique ride for Cedar Point!

Skyhawk last 1 minutiae. Skyhawk is a great ride that gives guest a great view and a lot of airtime. Skyhawk is a giant swing just like swings on a playground.
After adding Skyhawk in 2006, Cedar Point would add more attractions that would balance out its collection of rides. Cedar Point would add: Maverick (2007), Planet Snoopy (2008), Shoot the Rapids (2010-2015), WindSeeker (2011), Dinosaurs's Alive on Adventure Island (2012-2018), GateKeeper (2013), New Gemini Midway (2014), Rougarou (2015), Valravn (2016), Cedar Point Shores Water park (2017), Steel Vengeance (2018), Forbidden Frontier on Adventure Island (2019), and Cedar Point's 150th Anniversary Celebration (2021). All of these additions have helped to make Cedar Point a better place.
