Lake Erie Eagles is a classic family Flying Scooters ride.

In 2005 maXair opened as the tallest and fastest frisbee ride in the world. In 2006 Skyhawk started swinging riders 125 feet into the air. Riders would twist and turn thru canyons on Maverick in 2007. In 2008 fun was out of this world for guest who braved Planet Snoopy, the park's new kids area that was relocated from Geauga Lake. Shoot the Rapids became Cedar Point's newest water ride in 2010. In 2011 riders would swing 301 feet into the air on WindSeeker. At the end of 2011, long time Cedar Fair CEO, Dick Kinzel retired. In 2012 Cedar Fair got a new CEO, Matt Oumitt. For 2012 Cedar Point added Dinosaurs Alive. GateKeeper would take guest upside down 6 times and over the new front gate in 2013.

On August 27, 2013, Cedar Point announced the New Gemini Midway. The area would be completely redone. The remodel would include 2 new rides, new options for guest to get something to drink as well as Frozen Yogurt.

Lake Erie Eagles is a great family ride! It is a ride the entire family can ride together!

Lake Erie Eagles is located on Gemini Midway. The ride was placed where Bumper Boats formerly was. The ride is in front of Gemini.

Lake Erie Eagles was built by Larson. It is the only ride currently in the park that was built by Larson. Lake Erie Eagles is a modern Flying Scooters ride. The Flying Scooters ride model was developed in the early 1930's.

Cedar Point actually had an early model of this ride. The ride opened in 1944 and was removed in 1960. The original ride was named Flying Scooters and was on the Main Midway where Jack Aldrich Theatre is today.

The Flying Scooters ride model has been very popular since it was first introduced. The ride has been installed in many parks over the years.

Ride Experience

The Lake Erie Eagles ride experience begins when guest get in line for the ride. The line is located directly to the left of the ride.

The average wait time for Lake Erie Eagles is 10-15 minutes. The longest line for this ride can get up to 30 minutes if the park is busy.

Riders are assigned to 1 of 8 eagles. Each eagle holds up to two people.

Riders are held into this ride with a seatbelt.

Lake Erie Eagles begins with riders spinning around in a counter-clockwise circle.

As the ride spins, the ride starts to lift riders into the air.

Lake Erie Eagles lifts riders to a hight of 28 feet in the air. Lake Erie Eagles gives riders a birds eye view of Gemini Midway.

Lake Erie Eagles has a paddle in the ride vehicle. Riders can move the paddle to the left and right. The paddle makes the cars swing from side to side.

Riders can control their ride experince on Lake Erie Eagles. It makes the ride very unique.

A Great Fit for Cedar Point

Lake Erie Eagles is a great ride for the entire family to ride together. Cedar Point bought a classic back for new generations to enjoy together.

Lake Erie Eagles is a great in-between ride. It is more thrilling than rides in Camp Snoopy but it is not as thrilling as rides like Power Tower or Skyhawk.

Guests love to experience Lake Erie Eagles. It is a different experience every time you ride!

Over the last 10 years Lake Erie Eagles has grown to become a new family favorite ride at Cedar Point.

Lake Erie Eagles was a great addition to Cedar Point. After Lake Erie Eagles Cedar Point added: Rougarou (2015), Valravn (2016), Cedar Point Shores Water Park (2017), Steel Vengeance (2018), Forbidden Frontier on Adventure Island (2019), Cedar Point's 150th Anniversary Celebration (2021), The Boardwalk (2023), and Top Thrill 2 (2024). All of these new additions have helped make Cedar Point a better place.
