Turnpike Cars
1959 - 2014

In 1959 Cedar Point added the Turnpike Cars. Turnpike Cars was a small ride that families could ride together. Until 2014, Turnpike Cars was the third oldest ride in the park. Originally the ride featured 2 separate tracks! 

Turnpike Cars was a very popular ride that could get a long ride. 

In 1994 Cedar Point built Raptor. To build 
Raptor, Cedar Point and to re-route the Turnpike Cars. Also at that time the ride was reduced to 1 track. The other Track was sent to Dorney Park.

When Raptor was added it really hid Turnpike Cars. Not long after Raptor opened. Cedar Point removed Pirate Ride.  After that Turnpike Cars, Calypso and Blue Streak would start to lose riders each year. 2014 was the final season for Turnpike Cars. They were removed after the park had closed.
