Satellite Jets
​1961-1986

Satellite Jets opened at Cedar Point in 1961. The ride was originally located in the middle of the midway. In 1962 the Sky Ride would open over top of Satellite Jets. The ride also went by the name of Super Jets, Super Satellite Jets and Star Voyager. 

Satellite Jets was a family spinning ride. Riders would ride in small jets. The ride would spin around in a clockwise circle. As the ride would spin the riders could choose how high they wold go. 

In 1966 Satellite Jets was relocated to the front of the park. The ride would operate in this location until the end of the 1969 season. Point Plaza calls this location home today. 

In 1970 Satellite Jets was relocated to the Blue Streak Midway. The ride was placed in a location between Blue Streak and Turnpike Cars. 

​Satellite Jets was a really fun ride for the entire family to enjoy together.

Satellite Jets closed at the end of the 1986 season. The ride was most likely scrapped.  The ride location would remain empty thru the end of the 1993 season. 

In 1994 Calypso was relocated to make room for Raptor. The ride was placed on the site of the former Satellite Jets. It would remain there until the end of the 2014 season. 

In 2015 Calypso was relocated to the Beach Midway near Giant Wheel to make room for the construction of Valravn. 

In 2016 Valravn Gifts opened on the site of the Satellite Jets. It is the gift shop for Valravn. It is there to this day.
