Camp Snoopy
1999
In 1999, Cedar Point added Camp Snoopy to the park. At the time, the area was located behind and around the Gemini Children's Area. Camp Snoopy originally featured attractions such as Balloon Race, Camp Bus, Lolli Swing, Peanuts 500, Red Baron, Snoopy Bounce, Tilt-a-Whirl, and Woodstock Express.
The area was extremely successful, and its popularity led to the addition of a second themed area, Planet Snoopy, in 2008.
The success continued. In 2014, the area welcomed Wilderness Run and Woodstock’s Airmail. Additionally, Lolli Swing was re-themed as Charlie Brown’s Wind-Up. This area remains a lot of fun and is one of only five Camp Snoopy locations in the world!

Rethemed: May 10, 2014 as Wilderness Run Manufacturer: Intamin AG Location: Camp Snoopy Type: Children’s Coaster In 2014, Jr. Gemini’s entrance was relocated into Camp Snoopy to make room for Pipe Scream. The ride was renamed and rethemed as Wilderness Run. Wilderness Run is Cedar Point’s smallest roller coaster, lifting riders 19 feet into the air and reaching speeds of 6 mph. It’s the perfect first roller coaster for kids. |

Woodstock ExpressOpened: May 10, 1999
Manufacturer: Vekoma Location: Camp Snoopy Type: Junior Coaster Woodstock Express opened in 1999 in the Camp Snoopy section of Cedar Point. It became only the second children’s coaster in the park’s lineup. Woodstock Express lifts riders 38 feet into the air and reaches speeds of 25 mph as it completes its course. It’s a fun and exciting ride for kids and families alike. |
