Chaos
1997 - 2010

Chaos was a thrill ride that was at Cedar Point from 1997 to 2010.

Beginning in the 1980's Cedar Point would begin to add bigger and better thrill rides to the park. Soak City Water Park began soaking guests in 1988. Magnum XL-200 opened in 1989 as the tallest roller coaster in the world. In 1990 guests would go on an outer space adventure with Disaster Transport. Mean Streak opened in 1991 as the tallest and fastest wooden roller coaster in the world. Challenge Park opened in 1992 featuring Challenge Racing and Challenge Golf.  In 1993 riders would be soaked with Snake River Falls. The Main Midway would receive a huge makeover with the addition of Raptor in 1994. In 1995 Cedar Point would celebrate its 125th anniversary. Manits opened in 1996 as the tallest, fastest, and longest stand up roller coaster in 1997. With all these new additions there would be much more to come in the future. 

In 1997 the major addition to Cedar Point was a Soak City expansion. The park would also see the addition of a Chaos and Swan Boats ride. 

Chaos would open late in the 1997 season due to a delay in parts from the ride manufacturer.  

Chaos was located on the Corkscrew Midway between Troika and Dogem 1. 

Chaos was a very intense thrill ride. It was often a favorite for riders. 

​Chaos was a common ride that Chance had made. There were over 50 of these rides installed at parks all around the world. 

Dodgem 1 would be removed in the spring of 2002. The ride site became a mystery construction project during the summer of 2002.

Chaos would close early during the 2002 season. Whatever Cedar Point had up their selves was going to be big because the mystery construction site would now stretch all the way from where Dodgem 1 was to the Corkscrew helix area.

Chaos wold be relocated across from the Wicked Twister roller coaster for the 2003 season. 

Chaos would replace Schwabinchen. Schwabinchen was then sold to Stickers Grove and was never reassembled. 

Chaos was relocated to make room for Top Thrill Dragster, the first roller coaster in the world over 400 feet tall. 

Chaos opened in its new location on May 4, 2003. The ride was placed in front of a back drop.

Chaos was located between Kiddy Kingdom and Peanuts Playground. It was across from Wicked Twister. 

Chaos was a multi-dementional ride. The ride would spin and flip all while its raising in the air. You would never know if you're upright or upside down on this ride. All of the seats would work independently so everyone would experience the ride in a different way.

After adding Chaos in 1997 Cedar Point would continue to add: Power Tower (1998), Camp Snoopy (1999), Millennium Force (2000), Vertigo (2001-2001), Wicked Twister (2002-2021), Top Thrill Dragster (2003-2021), Splash Zone (2004), maXair (2005), Skyhawk (2006), Maverick (2007), Planet Snoopy, and Shoot the Rapids (2010-2015). All of these additions would give something the park didn't have before and would better round out its collection of rides and attractions. 

Over the years Chaos would have a lot of down time. The ride model was known to have lots of issues at all the parks it was installed in. 

The ride would not open with the park the last several years it was there. The ride wold also have more down time. During the mid 2000's the ride was being removed from most parks. 

Cedar Point attempted to try to sell Chaos for a year years. There was no interest from buyers. Chaos closed for the last dime during the 2010 season. 

Chaos was removed durning the spring of 2011. The ride was scraped.

Chaos was a really cool ride and it is really missed by its fans. 

Chaos was replaced in 2011 with a 3 Point Challenge. This game still used the location to this day.
