Flying Ace Balloon Race

Flying Ace Balloon Race is a spinning balloon ride that is located in Planet Snoopy at Cedar Point. 

In 2000 Wile E. Coyote's Canyon Blaster opened at Six Flags Ohio. In 2004 the park was sold to Cedar Fair L.P. and renamed Geauga Lake. 

The area was rethemed to Kidworks because the park was no longer a Six Flags Park. Wile E. Coyote's Canyon Blaster was given a generic theme and renamed Hot Air Express . Geauga Lake closed at the end of the 2007 season. 

In January 2008 Cedar Point announced Planet Snoopy for the 2008 season. The area would include 7 rides, meet and greet opportunities, and games. The 7 rides were: a Mini-Tea Cup-Style ride (Woodstock's Whirlybirds), Miniature Train (Snoopy's Express Railroad), 4 x 4 Trucks (Peanuts Road Rally), A Bouncing Tower (Kite Eating Tree), Spinning Balloons (Flying Ace Balloon Race), Rocket Ships (Snoopy's Space Race), and A Crazy Sub Ride (Snoopy's Deep Sea Divers).

Flying Ace Balloon Race opened in 2008 in the park's new Planet Snoopy section of the park.

Flying Ace Balloon Race is a great ride the entire family can ride together. It gives the family great spinning  views of Planet Snoopy. 

Flying Ace Balloon Race  was manufactured by Zamporla of Italy. Zamporla is known for making quality family rides. Flying Ace Balloon Race is a Zamperla Samba Balloon. ​

Flying Ace Balloon Race is a really fun family ride. 

Theming

Flying Ace Ballon Race is a themed Samba Ballon. 

The ride doesn't have theming like the Disney and Universal parks, but it adds a nice touch to the ride. 

The cars are themed to other countries.  It really ads a nice touch to the ride. 

Flying Ace Balloon Race is a really fun ride! You control your ride experience on this ride! Every ride is truly different and unique. 

Ride Experience

The ride experience for Flying Ace Balloon Race beings with riders waiting in line. 

The wait for Flying Ace Balloon Race is usually really short. 

While you're waiting in line there are comics built into the line to help pass your time. 

Riders are loaded into one of eight balloons. Once the ride is loaded the ride starts. 

Flying Ace Balloon Race begins by spinning in a clockwise circle. Riders are able to to spin their ballons as fast as they wish. 

The ride slowly starts to raise in the air. 

The entire ride begins to tilt with one side in the air! This creates a really cool and unique feeling. 

The more you spin your ballon the more dizzy you will become. Flying Ace Balloon Race gives you a really cool view of Planet Snoopy. 

Families just love this ride. It is really fun and it is sure to make everyone laugh and giggle. 

The ride begins to slow down and stops tilting. 

Flying Ace Balloon Race then spins riders to a stop. Once the ride stops, riders exit the ride. 

Becoming A Family Favorite. 

Flying Ace Balloon Race is a great family ride. It gives children the opportunity to experience rides with the parents for the first time. 

Flying Ace Balloon Race is a great stepping stone ride. It is in between the Kiddy Kingdomrides and the Matterhorn and Atomic Scrambler style experiences. 

Flying Ace Balloon Race was a really good addition to Cedar Point. It helped round out the park's collection of rides. 

Riders must be 36 inches tall to ride alone or be accompanied by a supervising companion.
