Lolli Swing is a themed kids swing ride that opened in Camp Snoopy in 1999.

On Friday, November 13, 1998, Cedar Point announced it would open Camp Snoopy for the 1999 season. The new kids area would have 7 rides, a food stand, a new outdoor theater, and a new roller coaster.
The area would be themed to the Peanuts franchise. |

Lolli Swing was located across from Balloon Race. It was beside Tilt-A-Whirl.

Lolli Swing was a very popular ride. Guests loved riding Lolli Swing. By 2013 Lolli Swings was a 14 year old ride. Things would change in 2014.

Charlie Brown's Wind-Up opened in 2014. It is a themed kids swing ride in Camp Snoopy at Cedar Point.

For the 2014 season Cedar Point remolded the Gemini Midway. This remodel would require that some of the kids rides needed to be moved to Camp Snoopy. P Lolli Swing would also be rethemed to become Charlie Brown's Wind-Up.

Ride Experience

The Charlie Brown's Wind-Up ride experience begins with riders getting in line for the ride. The entrance is located on the right side of the ride.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
The line for the ride is usually 5-10 minutes long. It really doesn't get longer than that.
|
Riders are loaded into 1 of 16 seats. Riders are held into seats by a bar that is connected to two seatbelts. Each seat holds two riders.

|
|
|
Charlie Brown's Wind-Up begins with the ride spinning in a clockwise circle. As the ride moves it spins a little faster then it did before.
|

|
|
|
|
|
As the ride spins the seats start to tilt outwards.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
The ride lifts riders up into the air a little bit so that riders are swinging.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Charlie Brown's Wind-Up does have a slight tilt to it. This tilt makes the ride more exciting.

Charlie Brown's Wind-Up is a very exciting ride. It is more exciting than the rides in Kiddy Kingdom, but it isn't as intense as rides like Monster, Lake Erie Eagles, Wave Swinger, and Monster.

Lolli Swing opened in 1999 in Cedar Point's Camp Snoopy. The ride did not fit in with the Camp Snoopy theme when it opened.
In 2000 Dorney Park opened their version of Lolly Swing as Charlie Brown's Wind Up. In 2001 Charlie Brown's Wind Up was also added to World's of Fun. These riders were all the same, but the Charlie Brown theme better fit in with the Camp Snoopy theme. In 2010 Kings Island, and Carowinds opened Planet Snoopy. The retheme of the existing rides was very successful. In 2011 ValleyFair opened their version of Charlie Brown's Wind-Up. In 2015 Cedar Point would retheme Lolly Swing as Charlie Brown's Wind Up.
Knott's Berry Farm opened a differently-themed ride in 2014.

|
|
Riders must be 36 inches tall to ride Charlie Brown's Wind-Up alone. Riders less than 36 inches tall can ride with a supervising companion. Hand-held infants are not allowed on this ride.
