So we went on a drive today thru the City of Sandusky and saw the forever changing Skyline that is Cedar Point. RipCord, the park's Sky Coaster that was taken down in September appears as if its been Relocated and already re-installed! The ride looks as it will now be swinging riders over the Cedar Point Lagoons. It appears that Ripcord is now on the land formally home to the park's Intamin flume ride, Shoot The Rapids. RIpCord originally opened in 1996 as part of a huge Challenge Park expansion. In 2016, Rip Cord was the last ride standing from Challenge Park. While Exact details on RipCord like "is it going to get a new name and theme" are up in the air right now, it sure is safe to say that RipCord is staying at Cedar Point. Over at Mean Streak, progress is currently underway at removing its track to make way for future expansion of Frontier Town. It looks like most of the track from the ride has been removed at this point. The ride is really looking like a skeleton. Mean Streak opened in 1991 and got "the Axe" on September 16, 2016. Happy New Year everyone, From everyone at CP's America's Roller Coast!
